Baby Clothes

Among the many items that new parents must purchase for their baby is clothes.  While the idea of purchasing baby clothes may sound fun it is actually quite overwhelming.  Parents must be prepared for the birth of their baby by buying clothing before they are born.  This is extremely difficult because parents have yet to see their baby.  There is an array of sizes of baby clothing and babies outgrow their clothing quickly.  Most parents buy newborn size clothing but many times that is not the right size.  Newborn babies can be born smaller or larger then expected and new parents must be prepared with all different sizes.

Aside from size issues most parents love shopping for clothing.  They search for the cutest outfits for their child.  From mini baby overalls to mini baby dresses you can find practically every clothing item for an adult in newborn size.  Buying baby clothes can become any parents addiction, and often times parents buy way too many outfits for their baby. Parents need to remember that their child does not always need to be dolled up.  The number one concern for parents should be their babies comfort.  And lets be honest are you more comfortable in a dress or in sweats?  To babies less clothing is more.   Because they are able to move freely and be physically more comfortable.

There are only three main types of baby clothes that parents need to purchase.  Daywear should be comfortable clothing for your baby.  Often times babies sleep for hours during the day and when they are not sleeping they are eating and or being changed.  Your babies daily attire should be comfortable, durable, and have easy access to their diapers.  Onesies are perfect for normal wear for babies and even toddlers because they have all of these elements  Parents should have quite a few of these on hand because your baby is going to go through these quickly.  Durability is extremely important because most daywear clothing will be washed on a regular basis.  Sleepwear for your baby is also extremely important, because they are constantly sleeping.  You want your baby to sleep well and having clothing that is too tight could prevent that from happening. Parents will need to purchase a lot of sleepwear clothing.  Going out, or dress up clothes, for your child to wear in public.  These are the cute clothes that parents love to pick out.  They are great for a few hours of grocery shopping with mom, or a trip to grandmas.  However, they are not great for long time use or constant use.  Typically dress up clothing is less durable and will withstand less wear and tear then sleep and daily wear clothing.   Parents typically have a lot less going out clothing when compared to their sleepwear or daywear clothing.

New parents can purchase baby clothing at practically any clothing retailer.  Because there is such an array of clothing items and even brands there are a range of prices for baby clothes.  Many local retailers will offer a pretty good price for most clothing items.  For parents who are looking to save money it is wise to purchase item for sleepwear and day wear in packages.  Many brands will offer packages of onesies or pajamas that include 3-5 different pairs in different colors, or even exactly the same.  Packages are often the cheapest way to go because you can buy multiple clothing items for a little more than the cost of just one item.  Additionally each child will need many different pairs of daywear and sleepwear clothing so it is inevitable that the clothing will need to be purchased.  For going out clothing parents can often find great deals on discount racks at local retailers.
